Game instructions and author's comments on Classic Snake
Avoid walls and yourself! How long can you last?
Snake is back, except pure classic. No additions, no subtractions. Professionally created, professionally developed. Enjoy an addicting little game created by Ridian Logic(We love to play the game ourselves :) ). Use the arrow keys to move, "P" to pause. Collect the food that appears on the screen to get points, but as you do, your tail will grow longer! Hitting your tail or a wall will cause a game over. 1. Doesn't your snake normally grow by the amount of collectibles you consume? In your game it grows a lot and real fast. I don't know if it was that way in the classical version, but it makes the game quite short because it gets hard so fast.
2. It's a bit empty and simple, just plain snake, one level, squared snake and squared food. The classical snake had that because that made sure that the game wasn't too heavy for the hardware that had to run it and because of the software limitations. In flash you don't have those limitations which allows you to create something more dynamic. If you'd have done that and if you'd given it your own take it would have made the game a lot more interesting.
Still, cool to see you submitting! I hope you'll take the pointers as improvement marks and I can't wait to see what you'll do with them.
