Game instructions and author's comments on Ball Defence
Don't be disappointed if any balls hit the ground - just throw the balls up high... :)

Quite funny game.
But it's a little bit simple. Still, nice game for the game portal. Addictiveness: 6 Gameplay: 6 Graphics: 7 Sound: 6 Style: 6 Average: 6.2
I scored 20490!
Despite the gameplay is rather simple, the game is quite fun to play. Just catch the balls before they hit the ground. It's like juggling balls I suppose. The screen size may in my opinion be somewhat wider in all directions. Maybe you should make the gameplay more interesting by adding more features, like different levels with new types of balls and rules. First of all I got up to a score of 19300 on my first try, at that point the bounce energy stated 0 but even though all my balls were still in the air the game notified me that I was game over. I don't know if you would consider this a bug or meant it that way, but you really should change it. It's not a lot of fun to get game over at a standard point in time just because the engine lowered the bounce rate to 0. Instead of going game over because of that you could have added more balls.
For example, say that you keep track of some variable, like the time, that has passed. Once that variable reaches a certain point add another ball or maybe even two. This would definitely increase the game complexity. One other thing you could do is not only increasing the amount of balls at that point but also zooming out on the game, making the play field larger. This makes it harder to grab the balls since they become smaller and also makes it more complex because of the width of the field.
Secondly I'd like to add that it would be cool if you added several types of balls, maybe linked to different levels. Some balls bounce better than others, some are bigger than others etc.
It's a nice concept, I hope to see you work it out even more
