You can register at the upper right side of the screen in the banner. Click on Register Now!. I registered but have not received an activation mail, what to do? Several things may be the cause of this. For one you could have mistyped your email address, double check it when you register. Secondly the mail may have been sent but it may have ended up in your junkmail. We do our best to make sure the mails end up in your inbox normally but somehow this still happens from time to time, so be sure to check your junkmail for the activation mail. Finally there may have been a problem on the server side of the website. In case of the first and third situation you can try and register again after 1 hour, your temporary account has been deleted by that time and you can try and re-register it with the same username. If it still doesn’t work out after that, try using a different email address. Can I have more than one account? You can have as many accounts as you want, but remember you need a unique e-mail address for each account you create at Clashflash. There is no good reason to have more than one account as your account will grow in game points and experience points. Why must I enter a code when I register? The code is a unique code which changes when you click on it or refresh the page. You don’t have to remember it after registering. This code is for security purposes. There is nothing else you have to do but filling in the code you see displayed in the image when you register. Why was my password not accepted? Your password must contain at least 6 characters. The safest passwords contain both uppercase and lowercase letters, one or more numbers and a character like: $, # or @. In order to register successfully, you must type the exact same password twice in the input fields provided. This is to avoid making unnoticed mistakes since you can’t see what you type. Why do I need to enter my e-mail address? Your e-mail address must be a valid one because you will receive a link to activate your Clashflash account. After you register, you will also receive a confirmation mail of your registration containing your chosen username and password. Your e-mail address can be used to retrieve a forgotten password as well and for us it makes sure that people do not create an unlimited amount of accounts. What kind of usernames are valid? A username must contain at least 3 characters and may be up to twelve characters long. The only characters that are allowed are ordinary numbers and letters and the underscore "_" character. You may not have a name with a leading underscore. Remember that you can only choose a username that hasn’t already been taken by someone else. You will receive a message if you try to register with a username that is already in use. Please choose a nice and friendly username. Why didn’t my e-mail address change after I tried to change it? After you change your e-mail address at your profile, you will receive an e-mail from us at the e-mail address you wish to use in the future. This e-mail contains an activation link where you must confirm your change before you can use your new e-mail address. What does "Remember me" do when I login? If you want your login information to be remembered, hit the checkbox remember me when you login. When you do this, you don’t have to re-login after you left the site and visit again on the same computer. A cookie will log you in automatically every time you visit the website with this computer. No username and/or password will be stored in this cookie, so your personal data won’t be exposed. If you stay away for longer than five days, you do have to re-login. Where can I login? You can login by clicking on the Login at the upper right side of your screen. If there is no Login button, but a profile button instead, then it seems that you are already logged in. I can’t login, what can I do? First you should ask yourself the following questions: - Did I register at Clashflash? - Was the registration successful? - Did I activate my account with the activation link I received in my e-mail inbox? - Was the activation of my account successful? - Did I make any mistakes when I entered my username? - Did I make any mistakes when I entered my password? If none of the answers on these questions solves your problem, you can still try to click the Forgot password button at the signin page and fill in your e-mail address. Remember you can always create a new account. I forgot my e-mail address, what can I do? There is no way we can help you to remember your e-mail address that you used when you registered at Clashflash. What does "Most GP last month" mean?

These games are just for entertainment and not for competition purposes. At the competition users can compete with each other on the high score lists and gain game points through high scores. Also another big difference is that competition games are staff selected games. You can't just upload your game for the competition, you'd need a Clashflash administrator to do so. Can my own game be added to the competition? Yes it is possible to get your game in the competition. Your game must have a good score in the game portal and must have a competition-like gameplay. You will automatically be contacted if your game scores well enough. Why can’t I post?

If you have selected part of your text and click one of the text formatting buttons, the text formatting will be applied to your selection. What is the game portal about?
In the game portal, everyone can upload his or her flash game. You can vote on other flash games and write reviews. The portal is of course meant to play games, but it is also meant for artists to share their work and to see if people like it. Once a game has been submitted the author is able to view a lot of details on votes and views, and every member can add the game to their favorites if they wish to. How can I create a list with my favorite games? Once you view a game in the game portal there's a button above the vote panel that says: Add to favorites. If you click this button when you're logged in the game will directly be added on the bottom of your favorite games list. You can order your games listing in your profile at the my games section. What's the use of ordering favorite games? Firstly, the ordering of games enables you to access a game more quickly as your list grows. Secondly, you are able to display the top 8 of your favorite games on the home page. In order to do so you will have to change your personal settings in your profile using the control panel and clicking My account settings. After that click Clashflash settings, check the box that says: Display my favorite games on the front-page and save your settings by clicking Change Settings. How do I add my own Flashgame? Move to the Game Portal main page and click on the Add your game button. A window will appear with a wizard that will guide you through the process of adding your game. How do I edit my own Flashgame? You can edit your flash game in your profile. Go to your profile and click the My Games button in the control panel. This will show you a list with your favorite games and the games you've added to the portal. At the games you've added to the portal there's a yellow button with a small marker in it. Click that button to edit your game. How do I add more authors to my game? If you're not the only author of a game it's only decent to mention the names of the other authors. In the add your game wizard you can add up to 4 fellow authors. They have to be registered Clashflash members in order to do so, if they are not you are able to add them later on after they've registered by editing your game in your profile my games section. Who is Clashbot, and why does it show up as an author sometimes? When the author of a game asks us to submit his game to the portal and when that author has no account nor the time to create one, a game will automatically be linked to Clashbot as the author. Clashbot is no normal user of this website, so sending it messages will do you no good ^^. How do I get experience points?
You can get experience points by posting on the forum, playing games and taking surveys. What‘s with the different name colors on the forum and in the footer? A normal member has the normal name color on the forum and in the footer which is in fact not a real color but black. Now there are several other name colors available depending on your function/status. Red is the color of the Clashflash administrators. Orange is the color a member gets when he or she has received the privilege to moderate one or more forum sections or if the subject is a staff member. Blue is the color you will receive if you are a game developer and have one or more of your games running on Clashflash.com Can I use normal popups instead of those fancy modal windows? Yes, you can change to ordinary popups if you wish to in your personal profile. Of course you will need an account for that first, but if you already have one then in your profile you can go to My account settings using the profile control panel. In there click on the Clashflash settings tab and check the box that says: I want to use popups instead of modal windows. Save your settings and you're done. What is a rank name?
When you register at Clashflash you start with zero game points and you get a few experience points which you receive just for registering. From then on, your rank name is determined by the amount of experience and game points you gather. The first game point rank that you get when you sign up is Green and the first experience rank that you get when you sign up is Rookie, which makes your full rank Green Rookie. There are 35 ranks for both experience points and game points. The higher your level gets, the tougher your title becomes. You can gather as many game- and experience points as you want. Members of Clashflash with many game points tend to be experienced gamers and you probably need more skills to beat people on the high score lists that have a high amount of game points. Where the game points decide the first part of your rank name, the experience points will take care of the second part. People with many experience points tend to be people that know their way around Clashflash. As your experience level increases so do your privileges. Examples of privileges are a forum signature and being able to enter a link to your website in your profile. What are game points? Game points are earned by playing flash games in the competition. Next to that, at the end of every month you can win game points depending on your position in the high score list of a specific game. You win the most points if you are on top of the list and if there are a lot of users that have competed in that game. The more games you participate in, the bigger your chance of earning points. What are experience points? Experience points represent your experience on Clashflash. You earn points by posting on the forum, by playing games, taking surveys and by winning (competition) games.
