Well I was able to quickly fix the SMG gunner issue, but I couldn't change the pistol configuration. The thing is that fixing that would require me to add another dimension to the configuration. Right now for the enemy soldiers I can configure the following:
* For each type of enemy soldier (e.g. pistol, sniper etc.) from which attack points they can attack.
* For each attach point (e.g. behind the house, or the bushes far away) which bunkers they can target.
For your own soldiers I can configure the following:
* For each type of gun your soldiers can carry at each specific defense point (i.e. position within a bunker or behind a wall) which enemy attack points they can fire at.
So with your soldiers I have more configuration flexibility. For the enemy soldiers it basically means, if I configured that a pistol soldier can attack from behind the house and a sniper can attack from behind the house, they can both attack the same bunkers. I guess it's a small design flaw, but it would take me quite a while to fix it. So I'll leave this one for now as it shouldn't be critically blocking you from playing the game well. You can just let your soldiers take cover if they're being shot at from a point and they can't shoot back. Wait for the germans to advance and then strike them with full force!
