We present you the first non clashflash production in our competition today. Well, yeah of course Special Snake was the actual non official clashflash production, but since both Special Snake and Special Fishy were coded by a clashflash admin, those don’t really count. Mecha Martyr is a different story. This game has been created by Richard Rout (aka skideh), with artwork from Eduardo Mojica (aka Cicla) and is a production of Rustyarcade. You might have played the game in the portal before and we’re eager to find out if you like playing it in the competition.
How do I play this game?
The aim in Mecha Martyr is to survive as long as you can. The best way to do this is to become stronger. You can upgrade and heal by spending experience, which you get by killing enemies. If you kill as many enemies as you can at the start, and keep their numbers slim they should not be able to over-power you, and you will be able to survive longer. So kill as many enemies at the start, and aim on getting your turret power up high. This way you will do more damage. Increasing body armor is very helpful too. Don’t understimate the power of agility and speed, and be sure to keep using those grenades for a better advantage. If you are low on health, fly high so you don’t get hit as much, and try shooting the bullets out of the air.
It’s not that hard to learn how to play this game. You just move your Mecha (shown at 1) around the field and take down all the enemies that show up (shown at 2). As levels progress more advanced enemies will show up that will be harder to kill and have more advanced weaponry. The experience you gain from killing your foes is indicated at 3 and grenades show up at 4. A grenade is a nice alternative to normal shooting as it can take out a lot of enemies at once if they’re located close to each other. They are a bit harder to use though.

Every level takes a certain time to complete. The time left for each level is indicated in the user interface at 5. Completing a level gives you some time to spend the experience gained on the upgrades of your Mecha. The upgrade screen is shown in the next screen shot.

This screen shows your Mecha at 1 and your statistics at the right side of the screen. The experience gained from the previous level is indicated at 2. Your Mecha has five different segments that can each be upgraded a few times. Each segment has it’s own advantages consisting of power, defense, speed, agility and grenades. You can select a segment by clicking on it. This will open the screen shown at the bottom right indicated with 3. Finally, instead of just upgrading it can be wise to repair your Mecha if it got damaged in the previous battle. To do so click the square labeled HP to the right side of the Mecha.
What are the controls?
Move the Mecha around with the WASD keys and hit Space to drop a grenade. To shoot your gun click the Left Mouse Button but make sure to aim first by moving the cursor in the proper position using your Mouse.
