As much as I hate to admit it, yeah I wrote this mainly because of the issues put forward involving yourself. You have to realize that you still have a lot to learn, both in the ways of making games in flash, but even more importantly in the ways of how you take criticism.
Be realistic with both the creations of others and those of yourself. Don't be jealous of the things someone else can do and actively burn those things down even though you know better. Instead learn from it, be inspired, watch how others work and do what they do best. Most, be it not all of them, are still learning and improving. That's what reviews are for, that's what this place is for. Apart from discussing if something is great and wonderful to play you can discuss what can be improved. It's useless if everybody would reply just by saying that your creation is perfect. You wouldn't learn anything. You learn by making mistakes and by practicing a lot, but only if you can accept some extend of criticism.
If you get sick of the replies on your games I'd say that comes from 2 important issues. The first being that you expect people to be unreasonable towards your games. Before they even post something you expect them to post something bad. So instead of reading what they post you already consider the worst and respond to a review as if it's just offensive flaming. The second issue is that you really do need to realize that you've just started working with flash, both in art and in coding. Besides that you don't have the experience in other coding languages. You cannot expect to be a genius and do everything perfect on your first or second try. It takes time and a lot of practice. Heck I've spend hours and hours working on things, done lots and lots of projects and am still learning every day. With every game I make, with every character or situation I design I learn and improve. The only reason that happens is because I'm also critical at my own work. I know it's not perfect and I know there are a lot of improvement points, but that's ok. That doesn't mean the things can't be fun or interesting. Yet if I'd go and consider every point critical point as an offense I'd probably get sick too. The annoying thing is that the only thing you realize when you respond to someone with flames is that they won't even bother being friendly the next time. Why would they? It's not like you're going to take their criticism seriously anyway.
As I said in that first post, and I really mean it that way. I hate to be a censor. I hate having to remove comments or reviews because the contents of them are excessively breaking the rules. So please, abide by the rules, learn from each other instead of seeing every other artist as a competitor or a foe.
