Santa Rush 2 is the sequel to one of the most popular Competition games on Clashflash.com. Again you play Santa, on his mission to retrieve presents, and again this mission is made harder by several obstacles. This time though an extra dimension was added to the game. Instead of always walking to the right automatically, you now have full control over Santa’s movement. Besides being able to move to the right, you can now also move to the left and more importantly, you can move up! Moving up can be done either through climbing ladders or by jumping from platform to platform. Welcome to Santa Rush 2: Mission Impossible. So again you are Santa, located at the 1 in the picture. You move around on snowy or icy platforms to get as high up as you can. While moving up you will gain points for collecting presents 2 and throwing snowballs against enemy children 3 (yes they’re back). But when doing so make sure you watch out for obstacles that you encounter on your way. An example obstacle is show at the 4 in the picture. This is only one example of an obstacle, you will encounter a few other types on your path up.
Another important thing to keep in mind is that you have to make sure that you don’t move up too slowly. No time for stalling because once the ice cold, freezing water displayed at 5 reaches you, you’re doomed! It will instantly take you out. The other obstacles, including the enemy kids only take away one of your 3 hearts (displayed at 6). So you can take 3 of those hits before it’s game over. As mentioned before, moving up is possible by either climbing ladders or by jumping from platform to platform. One of those platforms is displayed at 7. Make sure you don’t stand on them for too long because they’re kind of fragile and crumble at your weight. But don’t worry, they’ll re-appear after only a few seconds.
What are the controls?
You can control Santa with the arrow keys and space bar.
Arrow key left: move to the left.
Arrow key right: move to the right.
Arrow key up: jump, climb ladders (up) and enter doors.
Arrow key down: slide or climb ladders (down).
Space bar: throw snowball.
Use the right Mouse key anywhere in the game to display a few options. This will allow you to mute sound or music, to lower or higher the graphics quality and to toggle full screen mode.
What is the story behind this game?
Santa is in trouble again! This time it’s not just about lost presents. It looks like it’s judgement day for the North Pole! Global warming has caused the ice on the North Pole to melt, rising the water levels and leaving little space for Santa to live. What he once called his home, may now be his worst enemy because Santa can’t swim! Help him out and move up as high as you can before the water reaches you.
Game Tips
Snow and ice have different friction. This makes it harder to get upto speed or to brake when you’re running on ice, but it also makes it easier to slide on ice. Both snow and ice are a slippery so make sure you take your time to get upto speed. Also, once you manage to reach the top without losing all 3 hearts, there’s a door waiting for you to enter.
