Hi there,

what do you think about changing language of clashflash in your profile?

I, got this idea, cause my mom is playing here too, but her english is pretty bad ... nearly NULL wink So she often asks me how the competition games work.

I would do the german translation. =)

Other languages might be dutch, french, italian... maybe a poll would help in this case?!

You mean to change the language for the standard text on the site? The forum is quite impossible to make entirely multilingual.
Making all the standard text multilingual would be quite some technical challenge too.

Maybe it's an idea to do this with the Competition Game Docs.
I could be either a German (or any other language) reply on the existing English post...

Any more ideas ?

That's a possibility, though it would be a lot of work for you to translate those manuals.

The games themselves would be possible but would also take quite a bit of time. So what're you suggesting Heady?

Yes I meant the standard text o the site, such as buttons, descriptions, field names in statistics etc.

The forum and the games itself don't need other languages.

As I have no idea how clashflash is working (Platform, Database...) i just asked. wink I guess only statistics are in a database and so it's quite impossible to make clashflash multilingual.

But translating Competition Game Docs is a good idea, so i would say u will get some translations soon. wink

Well that sounds great. I guess you can just reply the German version to a Competition Game Doc, so the credits go to yourself. bigsmile

You're right about that Heady, the headings and buttons and such are currently not loaded from a database, they're hardcoded in the views.

It's a nice suggestion though. Currently we're very busy with a big update so we've got a lot on our hands already, but it's definitely a thing we can keep in mind.
