- schutzenpanzerwagen kill count allways 0

(i had approximatly 28000 points. last screenshot was before starting level 18 with 21931 points. and i was far away from loosing the game: 100% bridge health, 100% personal health, 28 soldiers, full bunkers, ammo and medipacks galore)

Compete is only with points, and campaign is with diary.....

and believe me. there is a diary after level 20 (i made screenshots of the 2 pages)

I do believe you doublejk2000. I've talked about this with uwsublime too and things need rebalancing.

First of all thanks for the bug reports, I'll look in to them as soon as I can when I get home. I'm not 100% sure about the game getting paused when pressing certain buttons. I've never seen that one before so I'll try and make it happen on my pc too wink

The lvl 20 diary bug is easy to fix. You're not supposed to see the diary in the competition mode, in campaign mode that's the signal for the end of the campaign and that's why you'd return to the main menu.

The schutzenpanzerwagen should be easy to fix too, yet do you mean the count for you as a sniper or also that of a bazooka trooper? Because if you snipe down an enemy soldier firing at you from a panzerwagen you kill a machinegunner. The actual panzerwagen is a thing for bazooka troopers.

Now apart from that you were not supposed to be able to reach such an insanly high level in the competition mode. So that signals that it needs heavy rebalancing. uwsublime also mentioned this to me and in order to be able to rebalance it I'd need some good information on the tactics used and the things you noticed that made it too easy.

ok here is a quick reply (i think about what part of the long answer will be send to your mail and which will be public)

the button causes game pause: game was generaly running slow (much better now luckily). maybe the keystroke event was the overkill for the system then

schutzenpanzerwagen kill count 0: i mainly noticed that the bazooka has his schutzenpanzerwagen kill count at 0. if my personal kill count for maschinegunner increased for my personal statistic is not sure, because i did not count that (but i shoot those maschingunners several time though)
(sidenote: schutzenpanzerwagen is written with the german "ü" wink

while playing an other round of competition now i think of the answer of tatical content. to make thinking easier: did you change only points yesterday or also things like loot for searching, targets per level, accuracy,...?

- the game crashed suddenly while in battle phase. the bazooka men just got the final hit on a schutzenpanzer, when the game stopped moving and the cpu usage moved to 100% workload. a minute later there was a dialog asking wheather i like to abort the flash script which is causing the computer to run slow or let it run. i deceided to let it run several times (like 5 times, each like 30-60seconds time till the next dialog appeared). if you need it, i can provide you a screenshot of the last picture when the bug appeared
(again i was far from loosing: level 9, 100% brigde and health, 9837 points)

@Mennez - if you are crying about your old score of 8094 beeing beaten by uwsublime with the new scoring, then imaging how it might be for me loosing an old score of approximatly 28000 due to the bug that there appeared a diary after finishing level 20 (described in my first post in this thread)

Alright, thanks for the quick heads up.

Firstly, the thing with the game "pausing" in a late stage or runnig slow is the main reason why it shouldn't take that long to finish a competition session. The game is built in Flash 8 actionscript 2.0 which still has some inefficiencies in memory cleanup. That is basically why after a set of missions the game starts running slower than it did initially, which can get truely annoying. There's little more I can do about it apart from making sure that levels that high won't be reached. In the campaign this has been solved with the save functionality so around there you can simply close the game after a few missions and reopen it.

I know that I'd need a ü in that name, there are actually several other names that also require a ü instead of a normal u. It's just that the font I've been using doesn't include that character wink

Considering the rebalancing. I've only adjusted a small thing in this update but it's basically possible to rebalance on any property including the ones you named. It's just that I need to know which should be adjusted to solve the current problem. For that I need more information on the tactics you guys have been using.

Finally, I'll check in on the game getting stuck thingy. It (very probably) has something to do with the anti-hack security I built in a little bit ago.

Thanks! And sorry about your scores guys. It's just that I can't predict everything. This current run of the game is the first actual practical test on a group of people larger than myself, myth and mennez (who's my little brother). The game project is so big that it was imaginable that things like this would happen in the initial launch.

Yes it's supposed to be long. We don't want to have that situation again where you could complete 20 missions without going game over, especially since the game starts running slow after a few missions. For that reason mission 4 has been made extremely large, forcing you to lose. It just depends on your preparation and management how long you manage to hold out.

- (not quite sure) bridge health can only go down if a soldier or a tank is passing the brigde which is located between bunker 2 and 3, right? maybe i did not notice the soldier at the end of level 1 but i think there was no soldier who passed the bridge. suddenly short before the end of level 1 the bridge health fall from 100% to 90%.
(i recorded my gameplay with screenshots every 10 seconds, but i don't see a soldier in the 2 screenshots before the health went down. And the one exactly before the fall is centered on the view between bunker 2 and 3)

My english isn't so good but i wi'll to try to post...

(all in competition)

- (level 1-2-3 ) Impossible to use medikit, I try again & again but not any soldiers want to use it (i get 4 medikits by soldiers). Sometimes, they do by themselve but not systematic. Of course this made the game unplayable.
-Sometimes I can't finish the level because my soldier don't shoot & de german don't go forward anymore. The only action i can do is move from a bunker to another but it's change nothing.
-Inactivity from some of the soldiers but not so easy to detect...

Sorry i try again just now and i have the same major problems. Impossible to use medikit.
The soldiers said : "oki doki...afffirmative..." but don't do anything.

I will try later & confirm or infirme you this.
