After more than half a year of hard work, 15000 lines of code and approximately 1000 items in the flash clip and audio library it's finally there. The sequel to Invasion. It's not called Invasion II but Vanguard: Operation Market Garden. The reason for that is that the game has undergone so much change that it has become hard to compare with Invasion. See it for yourself and you'll know the moment you start the game.

Because of the game's complexity the game manual is pretty big, so big that the help menu in-game had to be structured in chapters. For that reason I decided to make a downloadable and printable manual for the game which you can download right here.

It is highly recommended that you try and work your way through the campaign before starting to play in the competition. During the campaign you'll get to learn to play the game and you'll get some feeling for it, which you'll definitely need because the competition is tough.

P.S. The game is very heavy and needs quite a fast pc to be played decently. For that reason it is not recommended that you put the game visual quality to High unless you have a monster pc.

As you all have probably noticed Vanguard has been placed offline for maintenance. I'm currently working on improving the gameplay to make the game more challenging, and to let it gain more depth. Uwsublime and doublejk2000 gave me a list of things they'd like to see improved accompanied by a set of suggestions to do so.

I'm trying to build in as many of the suggestions proposed as I can but it will require some testing afterwards before the balance is perfect. I'll try and complete this process as soon as possible.
