VANGUARD: MARKET GARDEN,

Vanguard: Market Garden is in my opinion THE BEST competition game! It has REALLY Nice Graphics, awesome gameplay and nice sound.
For beginners it's a bit difficult to know what to do and what the controlls are. But when you're into it, you won't get out wink .

Nice movie Mennez. It's truly a recommendation for those who'd like to know how to play the game without having to read through the manual first.

So, I've seen some positive reactions after the first experiences with the game, yet the response is limited to a few. Expectable, because of the game's complexity, but how does everyone perceive it? Is it playable to most of you? or do you dislike it that you can't simply start playing but that there's quite the need to open up the help menu on the first few tries?

Apart from that, do you like how the help menu works? I know it contains a hell of a lot of information, but I structured it in sections to make it easier to find what you're looking for. Oh and has anyone felt the need or motivation to download the game manual, and if so, did it help?

Either way I'm happy to see that the reactions so far have been positive.

Ok well since achieving a score like that is taking a hellish load of time I decided to change it a little bit. The tactic that allowed you to gain such a score shouldn't work that effective anymore, of course it still works like any other tactic, it's just that I've removed the lameness from it.

To handle the update I had to make a choice to either lower the current scores or higher the score you can achieve. I chose for the latter, so in the new version you get twice the points you got before.

I'm not sure what tactic you were referring to, but this game takes a hellish load of time regardless of the tactic.

Well, true, but what I mean is that the game shouldn't last for 20 missions like it did with doublejk. That's just insane. My goal was to make it last a decent 4 missions. Yet if in the end it comes forward that even that's taking too long to be fun I'll have to reconsider the competition status save that doublejk also mentioned in his suggestions.

I'll try to send you my writeup on this game soon... I think I'm done playing it in its current form. Hopefully will have time to get my thoughts down at work tonight. Definitely in need of some retuning.
