Yoshi’s minigame is an easy game to play. The purpose of the game is to collect eggs and cracked eggs. The normal eggs give you 1 point, the cracked eggs 5 points. You have 60 seconds to collect as many eggs as possible. You can get more time by eating yellow and red apples. Yellow apples give you another 5 seconds of play time, red apples give you another 15 seconds of playtime.
All the apples and eggs fall out of the sky, together with shields. Be sure to don’t get hit by an shield because they will subtract several seconds from your time.
Your character can swallow eggs and apples by pressing the left mouse button. You can move to the left and the right by moving the crosshair to the left or right of your character. You can also choose to move your character with the keyboard left and right buttons. Alter these settings at the options menu in the game. That’s about it with the game play.
The background of the game and the color of your character is chosen randomly every time your play.

1. The time you have left to play is displayed here (in seconds). Apples give you more time, but if a shield hits you on the head you will lose time.
Swallowing an yellow apple: gives you 5 seconds.
Swallowing a red apple: gives you 15 seconds.
Swallowing an egg: gives you 1 point.
Swallowing a cracked egg: gives you 5 points.
Getting hit by a green shield: you lose 3 seconds.
Getting hit by a red shield: you lose 5 seconds.
Getting hit by a blue shield: you lose 8 seconds.
Getting hit by an yellow shield: you lose 10 seconds.
Getting hit by a spiked shield: you lose 20 seconds.
2. The current amount of eggs you swallow is displayed here. This is the score that will be uploaded in the high score list if you compete in the competition.
3. To the left of the three you see a yellow shield, remember they also appear in different colors. Above the three you see an apple, remember they also appear in red. To the right side of the three you see an egg, a cracked one in this case.
4. This is what your character looks like, from behind. And you will only see this fellow from behind in the game. The red thing pointing to the circle is your tongue. With your tongue you can swallow the eggs and apples that drop nearby. The circle thing is your crosshair which you can move with your mouse. The crosshair decides in which way your character is moving his tongue. And if you choose to move your character with the mouse, he also moves towards your crosshair.
What are the controls?
You use your tongue with your left mouse button.
You can move your character to the left and right just with the mouse, he will follow the crosshair. But if you are a more advanced player you can choose at the options menu to control your character with the keyboards arrow left and right buttons.
Press P to pause the game.

The graphics we used are based on the old Nintendo graphics. There’s no further story.
