How do I play this game?
Invasion Tactical Defense is a game that can somehow be compared with the game classic Space Invaders, since matches where it comes to aliens, and blowing them out of the sky but for the rest, its completely different.

You are the Commander of a factory that produces Nuclear Missiles and Ammunition. The factory is a very important link in the protection of the Earthian defenses. The alien race, confirmed as: Unidentified Objects Class 1 (or UOC-1) by the General, know the importance of the factory and are trying to destroy it (read more at What is the story behind this game?).

Every single mission you have to prepare for battle by buying cannons, upgrading your factory and deploying personnel to either produce ammo or a nuclear missile.
If your mission, which is to complete the production of a nuclear missile, is completed you win the battle and you can prepare for the next alien attack. But if your factory is destroyed before you were able to finish your mission, your game is over.

Now we come to the explanation of how the game works and how to interact with the HUD. We can first take a look at image 1.0. This is the factory screen where you will arrive after clicking on the Play Game button in the main menu.

Image 1.0:

1. At number one on the picture you can see the hit points (HP) and the current amount of ammunition (Ammo) your factory has. If you look at the green and yellow bars, you’ll notice there are numbers in these bars, like 200 / 200. In the case of the factory HP, the first number represents the amount of hit points your factory currently has. The second number represents the maximum amount of HP your factory can have. The repair button can restore HP upto your current maximum. The upgrade button can upgrade the maximum amount of HP your factory can have. Ammunition works in the same manner.

When you click the info button you can read some informatio about your factory HP, the button can be used for a short reminder.

2. At number two on the picture you can see how much personnel you have and which task is assigned to them, which can be either Constructing the Nuclear Missile or Producing Ammunition. The more men you have assigned for the task, the faster the process goes. The ammunition you produce will be used by your cannons to shoot the invaders out of the sky. Click on the train button to train more personnel (The assignment in this section of the game is just your starting point, you can adjust the assignment of your personnel within the game itself aswel).

3. At number three you will find different buttons and an indication of the current amount of money you have to buy and/or upgrade things. The button to the left will move you to your cannon selection/buy screen. The button to the right will take you to the factory where you currently are. Press on the play button if you are ready and wish to proceed with your first mission. Make sure you have bought atleast one cannon or you might end up in a lot of trouble.

We’ll go further with picture 2.0 where we explain how the cannon screen works.

1. Click on one of the buy buttons to get a popup screen where you can buy a cannon. The number before the buy button indicates the position and reference number of that cannon as you will be able to see in the popup that appears after clicking buy. The positions are as follows.

1: Far back left.
2: Middle left.
3: Front left.
4: Front right.
5: Middle right.
6: Far back right.

After you bought a cannon, you can sell it or repair it at number 2. The cannon will be available for your factory defence in the battle against the aliens. Remember that you are only able to place a maximum of six cannons.

You can also predefine the stance of the cannon, before it enters the battlefield. But remember that you can always alter the stance while the battle is going on.

Stances:
Normal: Your cannon will act pretty normal at the incoming enemies. Just trying to blast them out of the sky.
Economic: Your cannon will try to spend as little ammunition as possible. The accuracy of the cannon will be higher this way.
Aggressive: Your cannon will try to eliminate everything as fast as possible. The accuracy of the cannon will be lower and ammunition consumption the highest this way.
Smart: Your cannon will act pretty normal, but slightly different in accuracy and fire rate from the Normal stance. The clearest difference between this stance and the normal stance is that a cannon with the smart stance will always shoot on aliens who came to attack you first, while other stances select aliens more randomly.
Passive: Your cannon won’t shoot at all. This can come in handy when you have to reduce the ammunition consumption drastically or when lesser cannons are enough for taking out the alien offenders.

2. Sell, repair or get information about your cannon.

We’ll go further with picture 3.0 where we explain how to play the game after you’ve prepared for battle.

Image 3.0:

1. At the left side of number one you can see a cannon in the field. It is the cannon we bought in picture 2.0. Cannons 1,2,3 are lined up at the left side of the screen.
Below the one is our menu to handle the behaviour of our cannons and where we are able to observe their current status. You can select a cannon by clicking on the numbers 1 to 6. If you have a cannon in the slot marked with that number it will be selected. After you selected a cannon you can see its hitpoints and you can alter the stance if you want to.
At the right side of number one you can see our factory. Keep it intact at all times.

2. Under number two we see the menu that concerns our factory. You can alter the tasks of your personnel here. We can also see how far our mission is, how many hitpoints the factory has and how much ammunition we have. At the right side of you screen you would see the cannons 4,5,6 which we currently do not have…

3. In the sky area aliens come to give you a nasty visit and try to destroy your factory, but also the cannons that are hopefully trying to defend it.

What are the controls?
The whole game can be played with your mouse only.

What is the story behind this game?
The question are we alone in our universe? has been answered by our attackers, yet not in the most peacefull way. Earth’s biggest cities and secret military bases have already been completely erased by their surprisingly quick and effective attacks. Our former informant known as “The General” called the Unidentified Objects just “Unidentified Objects Class 1” because they are the first alien flying objects that Earth’s forces has ever faced and because we know nothing about them. "We don’t know what we saw and we don’t know what they are but there is one thing we do know, they are hostile." were The General’s last words before transmission was lost…

As the commander of the RN-factory it is your task to eliminate all alien activities in this area. The factory is the last factory left on earth that can rapidly produce Nuclear Missiles. It will be absolutely necessary to protect this factory and produce mass-destructing weapons to fight back against a much stronger and much more advanced enemy. With enough time we might be able to find a weakness in their superiority.

Without this factory the human race is lost…
